Manu™ Manuka Oil and Tea Tree Oil Blend has been especially formulated to combat resistant scabies infestations that have not responded to conventional treatments. It’s also effective in sterilizing cuts, scratches, insect bites and stings and for general antiseptic use.
Manu™ manuka oil is unique because the only place its produced in the world is in the East Cape region in New Zealand; this region produces manuka oil that has the highest levels of naturally occurring triketone compounds.
Scientific research from the Menzies School of Medicine in Darwin Australia that scabies mites had developed resistance to many traditional treatment failures with lindane, crotamiton, and benzyl benzoate, as well as likely emerging resistance to 5% permethrin and oral ivermectin, which they say are of concern and advocate for the identification and development of novel acaricidal drugs.
Independently, researchers in Japan studying resistance to conventional scabies treatment found that the essential oil of New Zealand Manuka was effective against scabies mites at low concentrations.
This research has led Manuka Natural to develop a natural scabies treatment utilising a unique formula of New Zealand Manuka and Australian Tea Tree essential oils that is highly effective and safe for the infested person including children over the age of two years.
Other studies have also proven the antimicrobial effectiveness of East Cape manuka oil, The Cawthron Institute in Nelson, The Otago University Microbiology Department have conducted extensive testing of East Cape manuka oil against a wide range of human pathogens and concluded that this special type of manuka oil was
- 20 - 30 times more active than Australian tea tree oil against gram positive bacteria
- Several times more effective against strains of fungi,
- Effective against gram negative bacteria and viruses.
But don’t just take our word for it, here’s a great testimonial from one of our many happy customers.
"We have been very pleased with your manuka oil products. A family member works in ICU at a local hospital and was infected with scabies through work. After trying a number of other remedies with little or no success we came across reference to manuka oil as an effective treatment and within three weeks of regular application the infestation had completely cleared up. We are most appreciative and satisfied with the product and recommend it to one and all. Thank you!" - Lloyd Johnson

Great for Acne
Posted by Unknown on 24th Mar 2013
I originally bought this for scabies, but now that I have healed, I find it is also excellent for treating acne. It made a dramatic difference when I tried it on my face, and I plan to order more! It actually dries up small spots overnight.

Effective hair lice remedy

Manuka oil and cream is now an essential part of our medicine cabinet, we use it for all manner of cuts scratches bites etc. but it is fantastic for hair lice which come home from school from time to time.
I just rub a very small amount of the diluted oil into my daughters hair, leave it for a couple of hours and then shampoo it out and they are gone. If we know there is an outbreak of lice at school, I rub a little in her hair before school and it stops them coming on to her, its great, and I am very comfortable using Manuka products on my daughter because they are natural.

Wow! I am amazed at how quickly this works on spots. Not to mention all the other uses this oil has. I dab a bit on with a q-tip and rub it in lightly and by morning the spot is significantly smaller or gone. Doesn't irritate my super sensitive skin either or sting like tea tree oil even though it does have some of tea tree oil in it. Using a combination of this oil, the Manuka honey creme and the manuka soap has made a huge difference in my skin! Thank-you!
